In this video, NLP’s Chicago Program Manager Mary Owen talks about how seeing is not necessarily believing in the digital age. She then demonstrates how to evaluate images online by using reverse image searches. She uses two examples, one that turns out to be a factual, unaltered photo, and one that does not. Following this 6:31 video, students can try out the online tools she recommends to do their own fact-checking on images.
