Nicole Starr is Vice President of Social Impact for Participant Media, the leading media company dedicated to entertainment that inspires and compels social change. Nicole oversees the development and execution of all social impact film campaigns that provide awareness and impact around the most pressing global issues of our time. Since joining Participant Media in the spring of 2013, Nicole has contributed to the social impact campaigns for numerous TV series and narrative and documentary films, including Please Like Me, Merchants of Doubt and Spotlight, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2016. She has collaborated on social impact campaigns for the digital and media literacy initiative Eyes Wide Open, spearheaded the creation and implementation of Pivot TV’s public facing Responsible Advertising Policy, and forged partnerships with NGOs around initiatives tied to mental health, recycling, and social justice issues.
Prior to joining Participant, Nicole was responsible for developing media-driven marketing partnerships with Fortune 500 companies at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, supporting properties such as Avatar, Rio, X-Men, Ice Age, Modern Family and Glee.
