Scott Fischler is a student in the Digital Media Literacy program at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
His journalistic interests include media law, disinformation and propaganda, and investigative reporting of local government corruption.
Recognizing the societal value of media literacy education and civic participation as a counter to an increasingly dissonant media landscape, Scott is leveraging his academic interests this semester with his professional experience in media to assist NAMLE with U.S. Media Literacy Week and in the advancement and amplification of NAMLE’s messaging objectives through its multiple social media channels.
