I study and teach design of technologies for human development.
Tell us about your latest work or project in media literacy.
I am co-directing a game-based media literacy project, LAMBOOZLED! We use game-based approach to help youths develop media literacy skills, reflecting the complexity of current news ecosystem.
Why is media literacy important to you?
Media literacy shapes how we perceive and make sense of the world around us.
What are you most excited about in the media literacy field?
What excites me about the media literacy field are the people that care, and are invested in supporting each other.
Why did you become a NAMLE member, what benefits do you see to membership, and how will it support your work?
Being part of the NAMLE community supports how I approach and disseminate my study and design for media literacy field. Knowledge sharing amongst the network of educators, researchers, and practitioners has been most supportive.
