Jenna Meleedy is a third-year student at Penn State University pursuing a B.A. in Media Studies with a double minor in Civic and Community Engagement and Communication Arts and Sciences. Coming of age in the midst of the most divisive political cycles in recent history drove her fascination for media literacy. She quickly became involved with the News Literacy Initiative as a News Literacy Ambassador and The Daily Collegian as a News Reporter.
She has dedicated her academic career to the advancement of media literacy education as a tool for empowerment and a combatant to political radicalization. Around campus, she teaches guest lectures and workshops for U.S. Media Literacy Week.
