Jaclyn Kahn Siegel is the History department coordinator at Winston Preparatory School, a learning environment for students with learning disabilities. She has been teaching at Winston for six years. Through the context of history, she develops her students’ academic areas based on need, including reading, writing, academic problem solving, and executive functioning skills. Jaclyn has been very active in her school community, participating and creating after-school clubs, including yearbook, media literacy, video production and political science, as well as coaching. Jaclyn is also the heads up the teacher resource room, organizing materials and letting teachers know about the latest and greatest. Jaclyn has been a NAMLE member since 2011. She has been an active participant, posting the M-Passioned member posts on NAMLE’s website ever since. She has attended multiple NAMLE conference and presented on media literacy and special education at last year’s conference in Philadelphia.
