Karl E. Carter, a member of the NAMLE Leadership Council, is currently the Director of Personal and Professional Development at Bucks County Community College (Bucks). In this capacity, he works with representatives from every area of the college in order to advance the institution. Karl teaches and promotes media literacy techniques in order to enhance the education and productivity of members of the college community. In his previous capacity of Director of MInDSpace (Media and Instructional Design Space) at Bucks, Karl worked with faculty to develop assignments which enabled students to use the digital tools that they were already familiar with to express their understanding of material. This Program was a Bellwether finalist in 2011 and received Innovation of the Year from the League for Innovation in the Community College. Karl has earned an MS in Instructional Technologies and a BS in Industrial Design. In his free time, Karl is a glass artist and teaches glassblowing at Bucks.
