NAMLE’s Annual Conference will be held July 15-17, 2022.

NEW YORK, N.Y. (July 6, 2022) — The National Association for Media Literacy Education® (NAMLE) hosts the largest professional development conference dedicated to media literacy education in the U.S., and invites educators, practitioners, scholars and concerned citizens to join virtually on July 15-17, 2022.

With the intention to advance grassroots efforts to a systemic change in education — a change that prioritizes the importance of media literacy skill-building across discipline and age groups — NAMLE’s conference theme is “Level Up: Building a Media Literate World.” NAMLE believes it’s time the community comes together to discuss and strategize how to scale efforts nationally and move forward to make media literacy education a priority for all. Attendees will have the opportunity to address questions, build community, foster dialogue and create change.

All 100+ sessions will be live and include individual presentations, keynote sessions with educational leaders, town hall conversations, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities. The full schedule can be viewed here. Highlights from the 2022 conference program include:
Friday, July 15 at 6 p.m. ET: A panel discussion with Pulitzer Prize Winning Futuro Media© multimedia journalists and PBS Student Reporting Labs youth reporters.
Saturday, July 16 at 6 p.m. ET: A panel discussion with the HBO MaxTM documentary “15 Minutes of Shame” Executive Producer Monica Lewinsky, Director Max Joseph, Taylor Dumpson and Dr. Safiya Noble.
