This past semester I took Media Criticism with Professor Michelle Lipkin at Brooklyn College. For our final project we had to do a group presentation on Trump’s first 100 days in office. The topic my group was assigned was Trump’s relationship with the media. For my portion of the group presentation I focused on Trump’s (as well as his cabinet members’) relationship with cable news outlets – how they view him/cover him in the news and how he views them. Trump has had a very rocky relationship with media in his first 100 days in office and it seems to be getting increasingly worse, especially since he publicly proclaimed CNN was “fake news”. Instead of describing in words how Trump and major news outlets feel about each other I decided to let them speak for themselves. I compiled a short video with a few clips of Trump being interviewed by different news journalists, their responses to some of his actions as president and the now famous “fake news” press conference.
