We’re delighted to announce the latest issue of the Journal of Media Literacy Education, Issues 6.3 is available at www.jmle.org
In this issue, you’ll find scholarly and professional articles documenting a variety of field-based media literacy education programs addressing topics including media violence, radio and sound media, and sports media and culture.
You’ll also learn about the development of new survey measures to assess news literacy and discover how Arab teens’ uses of social media may affect the development of media literacy education programs. You’ll consider issues of positionality in relation to media literacy initiatives and partnerships in the non-profit and advocacy sector. And you’ll see how one parent (herself a teacher) used multimedia composition during the summer as part of a family vacation activity promote real-world media literacy learning with her 10-year old son.
Things are moving forward with the JMLE. We’re very proud to welcome three new Associate Editors to our team as Benjamin Thevenin, Theresa Redmond and Michael RobbGrieco serve a two-year term, beginning in 2015, to support and advance the JMLE.

We’re aiming to be the premiere journal for leading scholars and cutting-edge practitioners in the media literacy community as the official journal of the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE).
