Rushkoff calls for media literacy ed as response to flash mobs

NAMLE National Advisory Council member, and recent keynoter at the 2011 NAMLE Conference, Douglas Rushkoff recently posted his thoughts on the role of social media in recent “flash mob” activity on CNN.com’s Opinion page.  Bottom line, he calls for more media literacy: “…educate ourselves and our children about the underlying biases of these technologies: how they influence the way we think and act.”  Amen, Mr. Rushkoff.
